Patients are done waiting. Make sure they find your clinic.
More Norwegians than ever pay to skip the queue — booking a private GP or specialist directly, often the same day, with no referral. They search, compare and book online. ROIQ makes your clinic the one they find: ranked on Google and Maps, trusted on Legelisten, and named by AI when patients ask where to go.
Going private stopped being unusual. It's now mainstream — and growing.
The pool of patients who pay for private care has grown for two decades. They're not waiting for a referral — they're choosing a clinic online.
No referral needed.
Most private GPs and specialists can be booked directly. The patient pays themselves or uses insurance — and usually gets a faster appointment than the public route.
Access still varies by area.
Even as GP capacity has improved nationally, waits to switch doctors and to reach a specialist differ widely — the average public wait to a specialist is around 65 days, far longer for some conditions — so more patients look private for speed.
The choice happens online.
Insured or self-paying, these patients behave like consumers: they search, read reviews, and book the clinic that's easy to find and easy to trust.
They search for a specialist — and a free slot — at the same time.
Patients going private want two things at once: the right doctor, and an appointment soon. These are the searches that bring them:
Speed is the conversion lever here. Patients go private to be seen sooner — so the clinic that ranks and can be booked today wins them. If you're hard to find or hard to book, they're already with the next result.
Excellent independent clinics get overlooked.
The chains own the first screen.
Volvat, Aleris and Dr.Dropin advertise nationally and dominate search. An independent specialist with better care can sit invisible just beneath them.
Trust is judged before contact.
Patients weigh reviews and credentials — the doctor's specialty, experience, what others say — before they ever book. A thin or stale profile loses the booking.
Booking friction loses the patient.
If it isn't a clear, same-day online slot, the patient bounces to a clinic that makes it easy. For private patients seeking speed, friction is fatal.
The first visit opens a relationship.
A private GP or specialist who earns the first appointment often keeps the patient for follow-ups, family and referrals — so being found first compounds.
Be found. Be trusted. Be booked.

When patients ask AI for a doctor, does your clinic come up?
Patients increasingly ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity "where can I see a dermatologist in Oslo without a referral?" before they open Google — and they trust the answer like advice from a friend. AI names a short list. Being on it is the scarcest, most valuable visibility there is.
We build the signals AI assistants actually read — then track your citations every month so you can verify what's working:
- Structured data & clear entity signals
- Doctor credentials & specialty authority
- Strong, recent reviews across Google & Legelisten
- Monthly citation tracking across 4 models
Few independent clinics have built this yet. Today, that makes it a first-mover advantage — not a cost.
High-value appointments. Relationships that repeat.
Private medicine isn't a one-off. A first consultation leads to follow-ups, procedures, family bookings and referrals — and the clinic patients find and trust first is the one that keeps them. You don't need volume; you need the right patients, reliably.
Price figures reflect published Norwegian private-clinic price lists, 2025–26 (private GP consultation ~700–1 000 kr; specialist consultations higher and field-dependent, procedures extra). Shown to size the opportunity, not as a guarantee of results — SEO compounds over months, and we model your real services and capacity on the call.
See exactly what's costing you patients — before you commit to anything.

ROIQ is new. Three founding clinics get −15% on any retainer for 12 months, in exchange for a written case study at month 6 and a short video testimonial at month 12. Once these three fill, every clinic pays full price.
Straight answers, the way patients (and AI) like them.
How do private GP and specialist clinics get more patients?
Most private-clinic patients now arrive from search. Insured and self-paying patients book a private doctor directly — often the same day — so ranking on Google and Maps for specialty and neighbourhood terms ("privat hudlege [bydel]"), reviews on Google and Legelisten, fast online booking, and being named by AI assistants are the main drivers. That's the entire focus of what we build.
Do patients need a referral to see a private specialist?
Usually no. Most private GPs and specialists can be booked directly without a referral — the patient pays the full cost themselves, or uses private health insurance, and typically gets a faster appointment than the public route. That's exactly why visibility and easy booking matter so much.
How many Norwegians have private health insurance?
Around 880,000 had private treatment insurance at the start of 2026, up from roughly 33,000 in 2003 — about 9 in 10 of it paid by employers. It gives access to specialist consultations and treatment with shorter waiting times, which is a steadily growing pool of patients for private clinics.
What does a private appointment cost in Norway?
A private GP consultation typically costs around 700–1,000 kr. Specialist consultations are higher and vary by field, with tests and procedures charged separately, and prices are higher in the larger cities. We use your real services and prices when we model the numbers with you.
Is medical marketing allowed under Norwegian law — and what about patient data?
Yes. All patient-facing content respects helsepersonelloven §13 — sober and factual, no exaggerated claims or guarantees. We never touch patient health records, we set up booking that avoids collecting sensitive health data in forms, and analytics run on GA4 with EU consent mode or self-hosted Matomo / Plausible on EU servers.
You're new — why should I take the risk?
You shouldn't. That's what the 3 500 kr audit is for: a small, fixed amount for a full report on what your clinic is leaving on the table. If it's good, the fee comes off month 1 of any retainer. If it's not, you keep the report and walk away. The first decision is a small one.
Be the clinic patients find first.
Get the audit for hard numbers on what you're losing right now — or book a 15-minute call if you already know and just want to start.
